Not a bright note for ECW

Yet again, ECW has been scheduled to be shut down in early 2010. According to a reliable Source, World Wrestlign Entertainment plans on putting their tuesday night show, ECW rest once and for all in the near future.

WWE officials have met with people from the Syfy network about re-branding WWE's tuesday night show. "Both sides are in agreement that WWE's version of ECW has been a joke and a bust and plans are already being made for a new weekly series. Many ideas have been thought of for a weekly series, including a magazine-style recab show, it seems that WWE wants to make the new Tuesday night show a "WWE Minor League" and feature people who aren't exactly ready for WWE but are up-and-coming stars.

ECW was brought back  and relaunched after, in 2006, "The Rise and Fall of ECW" DVD was set. This success of a DVD made WWE officials want to bring back the oh so beautiful ECW. After the "ECW One Night Stand" PPV, ECW came back to life. But it was shortly noticed that WWE wanted to changed ECW into something different than it use to be, and made it a "C" show.

   Well I agree. ECW has become a joke and may never live again. And I live in Philly, birthplace of ECW. I agree they should do a remake of Velocity and Heat (later on in its lifetime). ECW has definately been a joke, and I'm happy it's back to Raw and Smackdown because the rosters are fuller and shows will be better, as talents such as Yoshi Tatsu and Paul Burchill and Christian shall enter the mix of Raw and Smackdown. Wonder what they'll do with ECW championship... probably in the last episode they'll vacate it and make it a minor's title... idk but I'm looking forward to the new show!

   I'm glad ECW is being taken off, though it has provided a stepping stone for some, for example Evan Bourne, Shaumus (im sorry i don't know how to spell it) and others, It is limiting the careers of Shelton Benjamin and Christian who should be thriving in Smackdown or Raw as contenders for the Intercontinental or United States Championships. Having William Regal as number one contender, despite how good he is at lifting the profile of up and coming superstars, is not a number one contender. It'll be interesting how they go about it. I think a draft at Bragging Rights would be fitting. For all those who are against it. Must i remind you, the two teams at Bragging Right were.....? The name of the Video game is....? ECW is dead, as is WCW. keep it that way

   Well I wonder how long it took them to come up with this idea????? This sould have been done a very VERY long time ago. ECW is the lowest in the wwe and hardly anything good happens especially the entertainment part of it gets a 0. Raw and SMackdown are obviously better than ecw. They have better talent and its something i can actually watch and not get to bored with watching (i get bored with smackdown sometimes) but hey good for you WWE you finally got rid of ECW.......this is so good thank you chaos starter!

   ECW has good talent but they just werent managed well and its really boring.......like TNA, Kurt Angle used to be big and now he sucks cuz hes in TNA (no offense to TNA fans but its just not that cool)

    Bring back the Cruiserweight division and rename ECW to WWE Cruiserweights and have it be a show with only cruiserweight action. It sure as hell will get ratings

    While ECW has become a shadow of its former self, it is the 'purest wrestling' program WWE offers at the moment. RAW is a very bad variety show masquerading as a wrestling program. Carol Burnett with men in short-shorts. Smackdown was enjoyable only while the big names were injured.

    If they wanted success from the ECW brand they should not have changed the formula. ECW fans loved the hardcore aspect of it, and once WWE took it away, it started a slow and painful death. Besides, having 2 world champs is one thing, (Please get ride of the ugly RAW belt) but 3 was getting retarded, (The new ECW belt was equally ugly). Now a cruiserweight show would be awesome and might compete with the TNA's X division.

    why not make a show where they would compete in a MMA format? like a brand new division for the WWE that can compete with UFC. for a change, we can see a real "fight". they lost the original idea for ECW. it is suppose to be extreme. then they signed this expensive performers who don't like going to barb-wires and thumb-taxes.
