Paul Heyman praises WWE

On a rare occasion, Paul Heyman can praise WWE, and this week is one of those occasions. In his blog for The Sun, he congratulated WWE on how they handled the Trish Stratus return. Trish teamed up with Cena to battle Santino and Beth Phoenix. Heyman likes how Cena pinned Santino, rather than Trish pinning Beth. The faces had to win on such a night, where all time favourite Trish Stratus returns, yet it has left Beth Phoenix with the momentum she has in the Women's Division now. He says it's great WWE managed to give the crowd the feel-good moment of the year, without destroying Phoenix. And hey, Santino loses every week as he should, since it fits his character better.

Talking about Santino's character. Heyman praises him, saying that Santino was the only one who could "reveal the secret of Santa" without being flooded with negatives about pro wrestling.

More praise goes out to the Jericho-Punk match, which showed Jericho at its best and Punk was no less performer that night. They got the crowd on the edge of their seats with all the false finishes, with the perfect real finish to end it.

Last of all, praise goes to Randy Orton. Orton could be a competitor for Edge in the category "Best Single Performer of 2008", says Heyman. Orton is becoming the most complete heel in WWE. Heyman feels that Orton might well be the future of WWE, now Smackdown has pulled the trigger on Hardy becoming champion.

This is all good stuff. Heyman can ring pretty true when he's not deliberately trying to stir the pot.

The last 45 minutes of Raw were great. We all knew Batista wouldn't be there (didn't think 8 months though) The Punk/Jericho match was great. I wish Punk could have kept the belt long. A good feud with Jericho then Orton would have been a welcome change. I don't mind Cena, I'm just tired of Vince's fetish of watching the 'bigger' guys hold the belt. Batista, Cena, HHH. Trish coming back was a huge shock. Seeing her actually wrestler was even bigger. I figured she'd be in a for a little bit since she hasn't wrestled in over 2 years.

Trish coming back wasn't a shock. People did say she would come back for one night + it was her home town so no it wasn't shocking.

Trish coming back to wrestle was a bit of a shock, most people expected a little pop talk to the fans, and that was it.
