There has been a lot of speculation about why Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson turned town the WWE's offer to host tonight's Monday Night Raw. Many have automatically jumped to the conclusion that he laughed in the face of the WWE's offer, after he said many times that he is through with wrestling. But apparently that's not the case. Johnson has been in Mexico promoting his new movie, and will be there through today, making it awfully hard for him to host a show.
There is a lot of talk that Johnson kept his options open for the future, and that the WWE will contact him again sometime before they end the guest host angle.

The Rock has made fun movies in the past for example the Scorpion King and the Rundown(He does the rocks bottom ten minutes into the movie awesome stuff) but the latter was back in 2003. The thing is that action movies these days dont rely on big guys the whole genre has changed, No one wants to see someone like Arnold or Dwayne kicking ass they prefer Gerard Butler or Matt Damon on screen for action movies.

The Rock can do what he wants, he left the business to go do another line of work that earns him more money while giving him a safer line of work. Stop being an asshole and let him do what he wants

The rock rocks. He was the best wrestler of his time and will still be the best, with perhaps the exception of triple H, if he chooses to come back. The discussion is futile though he wont come back and wrestle. Him hosting raw is definitely interesting.
