Rob Conway on working for WWE, a new Monday Night War,...

Back to home

Rob Conway recently had an interview with pwmania.com. In this interview he adressed several things from starting off his career in WWE, the atmosphere backstage, working with The Rock and Foley and more.

On the start of his career

Conway got interested in wrestling when he attended a OVW show in 1997. It wasn't until 2000 that he signed up with Danny Davis' school (from OVW) though. OVW became WWE's wrestling developmental area in 1999, by the way.

On working for WWE

The highlight of his career was when he won the Tag Team Titles in WWE off of Chris Benoit and Edge. He also tremendously enjoyed working with The Rock and Foley, since he described them as being "fun" guys, plus when you work with those two, the fans are amazing. He also called workin with Regal and Nick Dinsmore (formerly Eugene) as great.

On his departure from WWE he commented that the creative team just ran out of storylines, but he doesn't think a return is impossible. There are many possibilities for him on Smackdown or ECW, since he mainly worked his entire career for Raw.

On TNA

He says he loves watching wrestling and he calls TNA a fun show to watch. He hopes they'll keep on growing so that one day they'll be able to employ more workers and start a new Monday Night War.
