According to the source, former TNA star Lance Hoyt (aka Lance Rock) is working in FCW under the name of Lance Archer. Apparently, members of creative are pushing for Hoyt to adopt a gimmick similar to the "Robin Hood" character from the classic Disney movie. It is unknown if the creative team will actually go through with it.

What is WWE thinking? Here you have a big, good looking guy that works well in the ring and they want to turn him into a comic character. That is as stupid as TNA saddling him with the guitar hero gimmick!I guess they will resurrect the male managers and have Friar Tuck as his manager.

Gobbleygooker, the Goon, the Stalker, Helms doing his redition of the Green Lantern (Hurricane), a Pirate and now Robin Hood. For Vince being such a savy business man, he approves some pretty stupid gimmicks!! This sounds like something Lawler would have done back in Memphis when he had a Freddie Kruger, Jason, a Zombie and an Undertaker in Halloween masks.Hoyt may go down as "the guy given the most stupid gimmicks in a career". Guitar Hero/Slash and now Robin Hood. The sad thing is, Hoyt can actually wrestle.

Lance Hoyt can wrestle? Since when?!
Also, The Hurricane was AWESOME. Yes it was cheesy but that was the POINT. Not to mention Gregory Helms played the role PERFECTLY.
Still, there is NO WAY a Robin Hood gimmick can work. I mean, who is going to fued against? There's no people with snobby rich guy gimmicks, except for Vince and that's not going to happen.

You do realise Robin Hood didn't originate because of a disney movie...

October, Lance can wreslte far better than you give him credit....TNA never seemed to let him do his moonsault, but it is one of the smoothest out there today, especially for a big man. Way to kill another chance at a good big worker to be wasted WWE, learn nothing from Matt Morgan or other blown chances in the past?

Hurricane=Win....Worst gimmick in recent memory has to go to the Boogeyman. Marty could've been a half-decent wrestler if given the opportunity. He shouldve been re-packaged.

I thought Paul Burchill's pirate gimmick was pretty cool for what it was *shrugs* better than how boring he is now.
Not sure about such a gimmick for Lance Hoyt, but cool to see him coming to WWE never-the-less. Hope they let him show of his high flying skills.
