RVD's wife diagnosed with cancer

RVD has posted a message on his blog telling his fans that his wife Sonja has been diagnosed with colon cancer. After months of doing tests, trying to find out where the stomach cramps were coming from, they got the dreaded C-word. It is still curable, and Sonja is scheduled to undergo surgery somewhere this week.

It came as a true shock to RVD and his wife (as it comes as a shock to most people) seeing how Sonja has always lived healthy and is only 32 years old, but this just proves that it could happen to anyone. This is exactly why RVD is posting that Sonja has asked to make it clear that everyone HAS TO get checked in case of just any doubt.
