Previously in the Royal Rumble record books Stone Cold Steve Austin held the record for most eliminations in his career for the Royal Rumble, that number was 36 participants.
Shawn Michaels has broken this record last night when he eliminated:
Shawn's new record now stands at 41.

I'm pretty sure Michaels has only eliminated 35 people in total. I checked every Rumble he was in, but maybe I'm wrong.

I've also checked every result and shawn's made 35 eliminations. But if you were going on individual participants it would only be 31, due to him eliminating shelton benjamin in 3 rumbles and the bulldog & john morrison/nitro in 2.
Whoever posted this as news needs to check his facts. It took me all of 5 minutes to find all that out and I can even tell you who he eliminated in what years.

So Schem, you're insulting me because YOU posted inaccurate information? HA! Surely you can edit your post to include the actual figure (35) and admit liability for getting it wrong.

Is nothing sacred anymore? Now we're relying on botched "journalism" in order to excuse our own culpability and responsibility for reporting accurate and FACTUAL news? This is just like when the news media reported that Rush Limbaugh was against blacks and was attempting to purchase part of the St. Louis Rams. Um...the facts were that the news media got it wrong and anyone who knew how to simply do a Google search could have figured out that the CNN reporter that reported the "news" as facts was completely inept because he completely misquoted Rush. The problem then was that the rest of the media reported that the CNN report was FACTUAL! Sorry...that simply doesn't cut it. If you're going to report the news, then at least make sure that what you report is factual as best you can. Granted, some things can't be easily verified. But how many people HBK has eliminated in the Royal Rumble matches? That's an easy thing to look up. Sad that you didn't think of doing that. Sadder still that you blame the original source for the error instead of doing your own due diligence.

HBK's Elimination List
1989 - Ron Bass
1990 -
1992 - Tito Santana
1994 - Mabel, Sparky Plug, Marty Jannetty
1995 - British Bulldog, Duke Droese, Tom Prichard, Bushwhacker Luke, Jacob Blu, Bushwhacker Butch, Lex Luger, Aldo Montoya
1996 - Jerry Lawler, Yokozuna, 1-2-3 Kid, Vader, Owen Hart, Diesel, Isaac Yankem, British Bulldog
2003 -
2005 - Charlie Haas, Simon Dean, Kurt Angle
2006 - Johnny Nitro, Trevor Murdoch, Shelton Benjamin
2007 - Finlay, Edge, Shelton Benajmin, Randy Orton
2008 - Undertaker, Shelton Benjamin
2010 - Triple H, Ted DiBiase, John Morrison, Cody Rhodes, Carlito, Drew Mcintyre
Counting everyone Shawn has eliminated or helped eliminate (repeats counting), Shawn's total is only 39. So, he still sets the new record, even if it's not 41.
Please tell me if I missed someone, but these should be the complete eliminations.

I'm pretty sure he hasn't broken the record, Alexander. It is only 35, before the Rumble, it was 28. Besides, it would probably say on WWE that Michaels broke the record. It says that Stone Cold still holds the record.

I'm pretty sure I just looked up every Rumble Michaels was in, and I really don't think I made a mistake on my part.
All of you are saying the exact same number, but why doesn't someone compare my list with theirs?

I'm going to have to go with Alexander here, unless you guys put up some sort of list.
And, for the record, 28 + 6 doesn't equal 35 :P

to comment number 9...Rush Limbaugh is a mega doushe and I'm happy he got dropped from the group trying to buy the Rams.
Posted by JB on Tuesday, February 02, 2010

Wow...and what makes him a "mega doushe"? Btw, the word is douche. And plus, he has money...something that the St. Louis Rams desperately need. It's not like he would have a majority ownership either. That's like saying "Dump Edge" because he is controversial. Give me a break. Grow up and read something educational for a change....and learn to spell!

When your counting for the most eliminations record comment #19, you are supposed to count each elimination, no matter if they were eliminated in multiple rumbles by the same person
