WWE United States Champion Sheamus recently had an interview with Irish Cenral. The interview was to promote the upcoming WrestleMania event scheduled for this weekend. During the interview, topics that were touched were his WrestleMania match with Daniel Bryan, being U.S. Champion, and his WWE career. When asked about being U.S. Champion, he said the following:
"Being U.S. Champion is a big deal for me. Knowing that my ancestors built this counry, it's kind of like, the Irish were reated badly in this country for a long time, with a lot of tacky Irish stereotypes, so to me it's kind of like a bragging right. I'm enjoying shoving it down people's throats that an Irish guy is their champion."
