Smackdown Results for 6/5 *Spoiler*

Here are the results for the 6/5 edition of Friday Night Smackdown, taped Tuesday night in Memphis:

The show begins with an installment of "The Cutting Edge." Edge has Jeff Hardy as his guest. There are ladders set up in the ring. Hardy grabs a mic and climbs up one of them. Edge climbs up the same ladder and tells Hardy that he'll be knocked back down, no matter how high he gets. At this point, Hardy is shoved off the top of the ladder onto the canvas below.

Match 1
John Morrison b. Shelton Benjamin
 -Morrison hits a Starship Pain for the win.

Match 2
Chris Jericho b. R-Truth
 -Before the match, the two exchange words. Jericho starts to talk about Rey Mysterio. Truth chimes in and calls Jericho a hypocrite and warns him that things are gonna get bad for him. The match begins and Jericho hits a Codebreaker for the pinfall win. After the match, Mysterio ambushes Jericho.

Match 3
CM Punk b. Umaga
 -Punk hit a GTS for the pinfall victory.

Match 4
Layla, Alicia Fox, and Michelle McCool b. Melina, Eve, and Gail Kim
 -Maria is the guest referee for the match. Layla pins Melina and gets the win for her team.

Match 5
The Great Khali b. Dolph Ziggler
 -Khali hits a chokeslam for the win.

Match 6
Edge b. Rey Mysterio
 -Edge hit a spear for the pin. After the match, Edge goes after Mysterio with a ladder. Jeff Hardy emerges and saves Mysterio and Edge retreats.

   They probably made Starship Pain his new main finisher to A) solidify his SD fanbase and remind everyone why they're cheering on a guy who was a heel a couple weeks ago and B) .. because we would never shut up about his split legged moonsaults lol. The things are just beautiful xD

   Nathan *Midnight* actually last week smacdown was a bit better than this one i was actually looking to umaga v jomo and the tag match that turned into a handihap match so yeah the only match im looking forward to is kinda the edge mysterio one but aw well thats just my opinion
