It has been reported that officials were trying to give Snitsky a big push to main event status. But because he was first brought in because of his size, fans seemed to think of him as a oversized clumbsy wrestler and he was never bought over. The goal of Snitskys main push in 2007 was to build him up as a headliner so he would be ready to face the likes of John Cena and Triple H in early 2008, kind of like Umaga push with Cena. Again the fans never bought it and the push simply evaporated.

Maybe it's cause he was a jobber.

Nothing wrong with being a jobber. He made a good career out of Jobbing.
It's more to do with the reaction to him that gives him that status to be fair...
If the crowd reacted differently then maybe he would have had a different run. But, With that i'm sure it wouldn't have lasted as long with the WWE if he did.
Which brings me to this whole 'Jobber as an insult' thing. Yes, people are hired purposly to lose. And? it's a job.. Hence the name. I would much rather be on a jobbing contract with a company the size of WWE then be a main eventer in a small time indie promotion earning 100£/$ a week... Everyone that you little children watch have been jobbers when they first started. Bret Hart was a jobber, HBK a jobber, HHH a jobber. You name them they've jobbed. if you think that you are too cool to job, then why aren't you main eventing WM, Royal Rumble? maybe cos you're not, and you will never be good enough without paying dues and learning thetrade from the bottom up. HELL, Shane McMahon started out in WWE as Ring Crew. if it's good enough for him and for those that start at the bottom. Then jeez kid it's more than good enough for you.

Maybe it was because after the fued he had with Kane pushing him as a unstoppable machine. He started loosing to midcarders and nobodys. Kinda hard to give someone any kind of push after that cause nobodys gonna beleive it. Just another example of how WWE "creative" screwed someone else.
