Storm praises Steamboat's RAW appearance

In his latest commentary, wrestling veteran Lance Storm praises Ricky Steamboat's RAW promo against Chris Jericho as being the "best promo of his career". According to Storm, despite never being a "great talker", the Jericho-Steamboat segment was "so fantastic".

However, he also discusses how it appears that Jericho's angle is going nowhere. Having already disrespected legends like Ric Flair, Roddy Piper and now Steamboat, Storm claims that "someone needs to come to the legends' defence". However, he admits that there is a "fairly small list of candidates" who are on a higher level than those three and who can still have a decent match.

Of course, Storm names Stone Cold Steve Austin, calling him the perfect candidate, but also admits that Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart may be possible, though unlikely.

Is it just me or is this a total remake of the "legend Killer" angel Randy Orton did a few years ago. Maybe Orton needs to battle jericho over rights to that angle At WM

Not really a legend killer like Orton. More like making them feel bad for their accomplishments. If anyone should come out to face Jericho it should be either Tazz or even Dean Malenko. Dean only because of his and Jerichos old fued that was fueled for so long back in WCW days Dean the master of a 1000 submissions and Jericho the master of a 1001. But if neither of these guys come out to face Jericho, because of all the teasers that are going around this is a very good hush-hush storyline of who is going to face Jericho. I can only imagine that the weeks leading to Wrestlemania that we will get a better picture of who will be facing Jericho.

I know Hulk Hogan would be an incredible choice, but folks have had nothing but crap to say about him for years now despite the impact he's had and all he's accomplished. I don't think WWE's going to go too far to get him into this, it'll probably be a solidified fan favorite like SCSA, and hell, that list is much much shorter.

Don't think Malenko will be the choice but I do hope he's one of the legends who comes out during Raw. That would be a good segment between them.

what if we see a the most legendary screw up raven he is probably not the legend the WWE would use. It would be funny to see Raven help Jericho turn face. Or how about Justin credible he was miss used and probably won't even be considered even though he si a legendary top ten talented Candian wrestler. at around 9th if I was makign the list. Um what other legends could put on a good match that are young um Brutus the Barber might be young enough to make a Mania appearance number ten for him if he did comeback. 10 appearances is a very short list Undertaker, Triple H, Hogan,Shawn Micheals probably missed one. I think Bret hart only has 9 appearances but I might be wrong.
