Summary of Q&A with JBL

Back to home

Long Island Press had an interview with JBL where they addressed numerous things, like for example JBL's new energy drink, his look on the current political landscape, his return in the ring,...As always JBL has many words of wisdom, so this will be a rather long read, but a true threat for JBL fans like me.

About his energy drink, he says it's really about sharing a revelation  than about making quick money. He first had a taste of this energy drink in the Carribean, where the recepy has been used for centuries, even before Columbus discovered America.

When he talks about how WWE aids wrestler's finances, he says that he is very pleased with how WWE works, usually not giving rookies a huge salary, so they'll learn the value of a dollar at an early stage. Of course, some people still don't learn that value, according to him, but he says that the WWE is currently also educating their guys to help them with all kinds of financial stuff.

About coming back from retirement he says that he felt it was "now or never", since he's already 41 years old, and his back (his reason for retiring in the first place) is feeling a lot better now. About the end of his first retirement, he admits to being out of shape, and he calls himself even fat, and he didn't want that to be how fans reminded him.

Last of all, JBL adresses the current political situation, and he is not afraid to speak freely here. He calls the current politicians the most pathetic idiots (JBL's words) that this country has ever had. It has nothing do with Democrats or Republicans to him, but he thinks that these people are missing the more important things, like the financial crisis, the two wars going on and our search for other sources of energy. He says he can't even stand talking to them on Fox Business every night, and it frustrates him night after night after night. He also wonders if these are truly the guys that are needed to regulate WWE/sports entertainment. He also states these these views are his, and his views alone.
