Yes, The Smackdown Vs RAW 2009 Demo has been officially released in the U.S on the Playstation Network.
The demo was released in Australia Last week on PSN and in stores. A demo for the Xbox 360 has not been released. The demo can only be played on HDTV's or a TV with a 700 Pixel screen.

It's strange how the US had to wait another week after everyone else got it. I've played it and the only slight gripe I have with it is the camera angles when you go outside the ring. Other than that it looks really good.

I like the addition of the ref talking..."get back in the ring" or "he kicked out" kinda funny. But I honestly don't see a huge difference in the one on one matches bar camera angles. Tag match is fun.

contrary too the report the demo is availiable outside of the US and does NOT only play on HD televison, I have it here in the UK and it works and looks just fine on my standard non HD TV. Just thought I'd let you know :-)
