During the shows Booker T and Robert Roode may be bitter rivals but backstage Booker T is Robert's mentor. Being involved in a feud with Booker T and being able to keep up with him has given him a lot of credibilty. Its reported that it was actually Booker T who went up to the TNA management and requested a feud with Robert Roode.The reason of this favour being the potential he sees in Roode.Using his position he could have chosen to be in the main event scene or atleast squash Roode like the other veterans did but he wanted Roode to be seen in good light.Booker T also shows willingness to talk to the younger wrestlers and provide advice.

As much as I've grown a bit bored of the fued which has probably gone on too long, I do love the unselfish, mentory attitude, and I do really like both wrestlers involved.
