It has been confirmed that former WWE announcer Taz will be going to TNA. According to the source, he will act as Samoa Joe's manager upon his debut. Taz cannot debut on-screen until his no-compete clause from his WWE contract expires. It is also expected that Taz will eventually take a spot at the broadcast booth for TNA.

aren't the no-compete clauses usually like 100 days? I really nope we don't have to have a mystery guy for 3 months. It'll get annoying... quickly! Now it's time to bring in Manu to join the Nation.

If this is meant to last 3 months it's a shame this got leaked so early, it would've been salvageable otherwise. As things stand, it's a no-"compete" clause, so can he technically still be a manager and ring announcer? lol I know the answer is probably no, but they have to bring this back somehow.

I believe because his contract expired rather than him being released his no-compete clause should only be 30 days or something.

comment #6 had it right on the money.
Released superstars have a 90 days no complete clause.
All superstars and such have a 30 day no complete clause on their contract when it expires thanks to Lex Luger appearing on Nitro when Vince thought he was still a WWE wrestler.

thats is a bit strange that they say you cant appear until a certain amount of days after you left.

it's not Vince saying it. The wrestlers and talent all sign the contracts with that stipulation in it. I don't think Angle had it in his contract. Christian either.

Stop the Leaks, nobodies denying it's a serious issue that occasionally alters the product itself because creative teams get scared and try to change things up last minute, but folks still leak, folks still post, and folks still read em.
