TNA President Dixie Carter announced the following on her Facebook this afternoon:
TNA will make a major announcement during tonights TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV at 8ET/7CT. We strive to deliver what our fans want, and the next step in the evolution of the TNA brand will do just that.
It is now confirmed that the big news is that tonight will be the final live TNA iMPACT! on Mondays.
TNA's talent was told this at a meeting this afternoon when Dixie Carter delivered a message to the entire roster and during the show, the story that TNA iMPACT! will return to Thursday night at 9 PM starting next week was made public.
This might be part of the report that the company that TNA hired to study ratings came up with. This move is being labelled as a wise move by many wrestling reporting sites as there is a common belief that this will help the long-term future of the company.
The plan is to build up the Thursday show and re-evaluate things in a few months.

XD So now TNA is running back to Thursday with its tail between its legs. This goes to every TNA fanboy who thought TNA would win the 2nd Monday Night War from the WWE Universe: WE TOLD YOU SO!

So, WWE chastised Smackdown! in response to a threat that they have always refused to admit was there (and will continue to do so). To try and keep afloat, TNA moved back to Thursday (where they never should have left). About damn time Dixie! Welcome to the world of the waking!
