As reported earlier, this week's TNA change in its time slot because of the NCAA Finals was just an excuse to test the outcome in ratings and viewers.
In fact, TNA saw its largest average audience since 3/8 with an average of 1.2 million viewers.
Following this, TNA president Dixie Carter announced this morning on her Twitter account that iMPACT! would be moving permanently to 8:00 p.m. on Monday nights as of next week:
"Mon Night iMPACT! moves to 8 pm ET start time on Spike each Monday w/an encore performance Thursdays at 9 pm ET. Spread the word!"
Spike TV will also run weekly replays of iMPACT! every Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. starting from tomorrow.

I don't agree, Nem. They're replaying it on Thursday's now... this will up there overall standings... think about it. If they can average 1 and 1 for both nights, that's a 2 rating, which is only about 1 less then WWE's. Smart move.
Next move; get Bischoff and Hogan off the *explict* screen!

So much for alternative gritty programming... 8pm's before the watershed.
TNA PG anyone?

Spike TV is a cable company and therefore not under the jurisdiction of the FCC, which only governs free network TV. Many cable companies still abide by the rules for advertiser purposes, but Spike is also a company not too focused on it's family audiences. Blood and swearing more than likely aren't going anywhere

well its right tna will get a 2.0 rating but they need to replay the show to get a 2.0 rating wwe raw just only get the 3.0+ with 1 show no more tna sucks and everyone need to know it since hogan and bichof are there they ruined TNA, TNA was TNA before hogan era.

comment #5 if you are randy orton. there's a good chance that you will be on tna once you leave or get fired from the wwe. i thought that because hogan, flair, sting, angle, jarrett, and jeff hardy all used to be part of the wwe.

Also, Raw is replayed twice every Sunday Night on Universal HD. I have not seen any reports for the ratingd for those replays, but I'm sure if you combine Monday Night Raw ratings with the replay ratings, it should be over 4 every week

Actually I just signed a long term deal with the WWE not that long ago. I'll be there the next 10 years or so at least, which is 10x longer than I expect for TNA to last. But to quote a legendary gameshow, "No deal!".

I really don't understand all the hatred directed toward TNA. Most posters seem to think you have to pick one over the other. What WWE offers is a supremely polished show that in my opinion is complacent because they don't have any real competition, at least at their level of financial power. TNA offers more of an 'old time wrestling' feel, with more consistent good matches and less repeats of the same matches time and time again. WWE has the best 'big man' talent and the power to recruit talent from TNA because the money is so much better. The rawness and freshness of TNA is enjoyable to me, it reminds me of the old Georgia Championship Wrestling show and the Crockett's Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. In these shows, you never really knew what was going to happen, which made for an exciting show. With WWE, listening to Orton, Cena, or whoever talk for the first 20 minutes just kills the momentum for me. I can also guess what is going to happen 80% of the time. It seems the younger demographic loves WWE while the more seasoned fans like me who have been watching for 30 years are intrigued by TNA. Not making judgments but I'm glad TNA is around. Even the Hogan/Bischoff thing doesn't bother me because at least it ties wrestling to its' past. I like TNA better than WWE for those reasons. While I understand the WWE placing all these green guys at the top of the card to assure a future, TNA is the most fun and entertaining for me. They play it pretty straight. The Knockouts division is another reason I really like TNA. They treat their female wrestlers like wrestlers and many great matches come from that division. Let's all quit hating on the opposition and just be glad we have alternatives now. I also watch AAA and ROH every chance I get. I'm not a WWE fan, I'm a wrestling fan. Also, anyone who constantly cuts on Flair obviously didn't see him fight Ricky Steamboat, Harley Race, or Terry Funk. Sure, he's 60 now, and his recent matches look weak because he's lost several steps because of his age, but looking at his career, he's going to go down in history as one of the best wrestlers and performers that ever walked that aisle. I wish more people gave him credit for that. He still is one of the best promo men working.

Screw the damn replay and add another show in that slot. TNA has too many guys to only be on once a week. It's getting like WWE where the "top" guys get the air time and the quality "lower" guys get brushed aside.

Yeah WWE pulls a 3.0 or better rating every week... but they've been around since 1963 God damnit. TNA has only been around since 2002 and they're already pulling 1/3 the audience as WWE.
WWE has been on tv over four times as long as TNA... yet TNA has 1/3 the fans base.
If you ask me, TNA is doing pretty damn well.
