TNA Impact game selling terribly!

f4wonline.com is reporting that the TNA Impact video game is continuing its trend of poor sales. The game has not produced nearly as many sales as both TNA and Midway Games has initially hoped. Midway Games lost double what they expected during the third quarter. The company projected losses of $34 million, but now expect to lose $64 million in the quarter. Midway hoped the TNA video game would help save the quarter. Midway canceled two licenses, but spared TNA for the time being. It's being said that sales for the TNA "iMPACT!" video game have not been good at all and the feeling is that if sales continue to disappoint during the holiday season, there will be no future TNA video game releases from Midway. Midway Games is currently struggling as a company, and the fear is that even if the Impact video game sales increase during the holiday season, the company may still go out of business leaving no possibility for another TNA game to be produced. PCMag.com posted an article with a headline reading "Midway Games Fighting for Its Life," which you can read at pcmag.com.

There is a reason why the sales are terrible, because the games are terrible. Buy SvR, A much better series.

Yes, ok, TNA iMpact video game is crap. Can everyone stop spamming the newsboard with it? Or, more to the point, the old news?

Another thing is advertising.... like people wouldnt know the game sucks until they bought it and played it. If they advertised in a better way people would of bought it quickly.

I have bought it, and played it for a few hours until I got boored of it. The modes are too confuzing, graphics isn't as good as it should be and overall gameplay sucks.
No wonder why TNA Impact only managed to sell under 200k whilst SvR08 sold over 5 million!

Oh dear more and more fanboys. Look, face it, SvR08 was crap too, and if it didn't have the WWE name or established series behind it, it would've done even worse than the TNA game did. I know many people who didn't even bother to get SvR08 and still play SvR07 instead. The reason the TNA game was crap is that it was pulled too early and unfinished because of that. SvR08 sold over 5 million? Well I bet most of those copies were from the bargain bin. Mine certainly was.

Badman: I got bored too after a few day but seriously, modes too confusing? Graphics? The modes are pretty straight forward and the graphics are the best part of the game. I agree with Jane Ross, SVR isn't all that. It has it's flaws and gets boring too. Just wait until SVR09 comes out and everyone hates the lack of a true season mode. Damn fanboys.
