You know who's responsible for most of wrestling's revenue? Casual fans. Sure, some of the fans who've grown sick of WWE's product will happily support TNA in this little skirmish. The vast majority of fans will not, however, and TNA will lose viewers and business.

i agree with all the above, bad move dixie bringing hogan and bischoff along with the 80's is a sign of desperation for fame, power, rating and money, quite frankly tna was better off on thursady night so be honset,i can't wait to see you and tna fail...bigquest to all.

Seriously? Have Bishoff and Hogan learned nothing from their past mistakes? First they show up in TNA and begin infecting it with terminal Lame (symptoms include hiring 80's wrestlers who happen to for the most part be Hogan's friends, letting Bishoff book matches, ditching the sixsided ring and giving A.J. Styles a make over into a bad remake of the Nature boy). Then they want to take Impact to Mondays? My advice to the TNA stars as of now, would be to start calling the competition and stop slamming WWE every chance you get: you're going to need new jobs soon.

Well TNA just tagged there own toe. Doesn't Dixie know what happened to WCW when lead by Bishoff went head to head on Monday Night with WWE. TNA doesn't have the talent or leadership to make this move. WCW had better talent when they when head to head with WWE but they didn't have the leadership. There's a saying "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." - George Santayana The only reason I watch TNA is because I think Velvet Sky is hot so I tune in to see her and because there is nothing else on tv on Thurday at 9.00 P.M. So I'll just be watch WWE. My advice the the TNA talent start calling Vince if you want a job because soon there will no longer be a TNA.

They should have ask for the 8-10 slot. 9-11 might kill them.

This is eventually going to be a death blow to TNA, but I seriously hope Vince McMahon will treat them as competition and improve his own product and create some must-see TV. We all know he can, but he has been a bit lazy these last few years. Maybe TNA's move will light the fire under him again?

Ok if TNA is gonna do bad how come last month it had the highest rating its ever had for any live impact,my god this is another case of you people not waiting to give something a chance. Opps TNA is on mondays now its dead, spare me this BS. Two things,WCW was dead when they let eric run the show and an out of ideas,NWO was and is their biggest and greatest storyline, second dixie carter would never lest eric run tna into the ground just like WCW. She is the president she is erics and hogans boss

This is not a case of Monday Night Wars.......it's more like the case of the monday night speed bump........even calling tna a speed bump is more credit then they deserve.......

RavenEX you know why the ratings for the 4th of January were higher than ever? People expected something big and special. And honestly so did I. To me and 95% of the people that I've seen react to the show it was one big disappointment. And to my surprise TNA hasn't improved a bit since the Hogan-era began. I even wanna go out and say that the two months before the arival of Hogan were better then the past two months

Always was a TNA fan and I absolutly feel like the Hogan time brought TNA down. TNA was different, less cheesy storylines (to the most), technical wrestling, highflying and wrestlers that did not have to be giants to be stars.
It was not exactly a replacement for WWE, but it was a well working alternative (they even had different, distinctive ring,) that was growing.

Worst thing was to bring in all these old wrestlers. This can work but rarely does. Sting worked I think (although I still prefer any X-Division guy), he still had it and could keep up with the other guys pretty good. But most of the other 80´s wrestlers should only be used as managers at most and even that can lead to horrible things like AJ as the new nature boy *shiver*. Really was my favorite wrestler sides the Undertaker, but right now that is in question.

With all the love for TNA I only see failing in their future.
If we are lucky they restart and are again like they were about 3 or 4 years back ;)

RavenEX the only reason NWO was their biggest and greatest storyline was because it was pretty much the only story they had going on. wcw vs everybody.

Styles vs Angle that night was the highlight of that entire live show, thats what to me makes TNA a lil bit more better then WWE is matches like those. That fatal 4 way six man tag match for the 2008 Wold X Cup that was the best match of the whole Victory Road card. When was the the last time WWE had put on any match like Styles Vs Angle on Impact and again dixie carter would never let hogan or bishoff run TNA into the ground and as far as i know even tough they like to says they arte partners, hogans role is unclear and so really he is like a GM and bishoff i guess is a Executive Producer. But in the past tna authority figures
have always been on air roles,Cornette wasnt really the Management Director like Bishoff wasnt really a GM it was a role. As for nabbing RVD as far as i know thats still a rumor and Orlando Jordan isnt that big of a name compared to Anderson. TNA started with no tv deals and had two, lost them, they cut costs by not having monthly ppvs and staying in the impactzone and now have monthly and go out of orlando and the states now and then. TNA brought Hogan in cus they wanted something new and get more people to watch, cant say the same for easy e cus i dont like him either. Nasty Boys you got me there too, they as dixie said she wanted to do in the past stop bringing in ex WWE stars and sign more indie stars. Ken Doane has alot of potential and he's still young,Mark Jindrak is still young and he would be good in TNA and bring Sean O'Haire out of MMA they could do alot with the former WCW Tag champs. Rob Conway(yes ex wwe)has the look to be a world champ in the big leagues something wwe failed to do with him past tag teams. But anways directing my attention to comment 31,how is TNA trying to be like WWE?cus they hired hogan and bishoff?or cus they have a show soon to head to mondays? TNA is something that WWE isnt,TNA is something that WCW wasnt. WWE is more about the entertainment side of the business,TNA is a little bit more about the wrestling side.WWE hates crusierweights and tag teams and stable, when was the last time you saw a wwe stable be more then three people and last long, aside from legacy. Iam a wwe and tna fan so im not trying to bash wwe or anything.

@27, TNA has been slowly trying to become more like WWE for a long time. TNA was once an alternative, but it hasn't been for a long time.

RavenEX, I based my statement on being a long-time fan of both WWE and TNA. Since Hogan took over (along with his buddy Eric Bishof)I have tried hard to keep an open mind and see what was going to happen. What I saw was Bishoff doing what he did in WCW and as General Manager of RAW: That being swerving the talent and the fans. Furthermore I watched as the quality of the show quickly fall. So what I see is a show of questionable diminishing quality going up against a mainstay of Monday night. So while you're calling BS on our predictions I see it as a sad reality that a show I love to watch on Thursdays can't go against RAW like it can (does) against Superstars. And While I'm thinking about it, TNA is also doing what killed WCW in the past too:They're trying to get as many high quality talent as they can (I.e. rumors of getting Jeff, RVD, Sabu, MR. Anderson etc.) and not remembering that it was the exact same thing that basically broke the bank in WCW.

have you people even been watching the wwe lately it is absolutely terrible. there is no talent there left. you guys complain about 80's talent well what is brett hart and "the heart break kid." All they have is Randy Orton slithering around the ring like a fool, and some idiot named Kofi Kingston who slaps his hands together. TNA has brought back some of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and has made me excited about watching wrestling again. yeah the bischoff story lines are terrible, but lets not forget that he didnt bury wcw the fact that the brodcast dumped out on that PPV even and cost them 100 million dollars. so pull your heads out of your butts and dont even act like you wouldnt be excited about seeing the greatest wrestlers of all time wrestle again. Sting, Hogan, Flair, Nash, Scott Hall, X-Pac, Kurt Angle and Mankind. youve have got to be kidding me that is an allstar line up i dont care how old they are
