Althought Jeff Jarrett isn't fond of the idea, TNA's creative team are pushing the creation of a new title. According to the source, Jarrett is against the idea because he thinks a new belt might diminish the importance of the existing championships.

I think Jarret's right.. like the knockout championship is over powering the TNA WHChamiponship..

An IC/US type belt would be good. They need to make the X-Division belt important again.

They could go with a TV title.

I remember at one point the X-division was so popular Tenay was pushing for an X-division tag title that was nixed by Jarrett. Now they barely have enough guys for the X-division title itself. They do have a lot of midcarders without much to do. This could give them an option other than throwing them in the tag division ala Abyss and Matt Morgan.

I wouldn't say the X-Division is weak of talent by any means, but yes there is a mid card level who don't have much to do. Abyss and Morgan need to be heavyweights or tag members.

I just think its weak compared to before. They certainly don't have enough guys for an X-division Gauntlet for the Gold anymore, for instance.
