According to early sales figures from the TNA Impact video game 100,000 were sold in North America and 200,000 sold worldwide. This is horrible number for TNA. The game has not had a good response from the media in reviews and customers have complained about the lack of features and realism in game. Espically compared to other Wrestling video games. I know WWE is alot bigger but SVR 08 sold millions of copies so TNA is very far behind. Maybe more people will get the game and it will help TNA, but it doesn't look good for the video game. I bet the TNA game will top at about 350,000 copies at Christmas time. 98,000 were sold in the first week out in September(40,000 x-box360, 32,000 PS2, 26,000 PS3). But looking at these stats it doesn't look good for Midway.

The TNA game is crappy. If I am going to rate it from 1 to 10. I will say it's between 5 and 6 only....However, there are some things I like about it. The Ultimate X match and the Story Mode. I like the Story mode because of how it was develop. But the only problem is that it was short and there is only one storyline...I have alot of complain too about the gameplay...but thats all I can say..

I'd say 6-7. It's a good starting game. Hopefully Midway will be able to build off of it for next year and add in more wrestlers, matches and features. I liked the storyline too. I would have liked a couple of 'pick your adventure' moments. Gameplay: Don't like all the reversals but I do like the collision effect. Sales might be low but I'm sure the rentals were up. TNA is still building their brand too. WWE has been established since the early 80s.

It is a very good starting game but I am really sorry that I bought it, really now. I can not do much and yes, Ultimate X and Story mode are good but you will quickly get bored of it as well

I agree, I bought both games and TNA does suck compared to SvR 2008. Since SvR 2009 is coming out in November, Midway won't even be able to beat the sales 08 has had, let alone 09.

Newsflash: You're a fanboy. Anyway, it's not much to do with the popularity really. Sure they're at a disadvantage in those stakes but really it's more to do with the fact that they didn't get the game they wanted to make finished on time, basically. So they had to put out an inferior product. It is a good starting point, though, yes. But I still didn't get it and probably won't. And I am going to get SvR09, that's looking sweet. But that shouldn't detract from the fact that SvR08 was pretty pathetic. If Midway already had that game engine from SvR07 and all that success behind them, I bet they would've done much more with it than THQ did that year. But yeah SvR09 is looking good.

And this is what happens when Midway half asses a quick finish to a product they'd closed down the division working on it. They should have just put delays on it like everyone else in the gaming world till they got it better than what they released.

I am so dissapointed in TNA, the video game. I'm from Belgium, and it still hasn't come out here yet. It will be released on the 31st of October here and in the Netherlands (I don't know about other countries in Europe). However, SvR 2009 is going to be released here just 6 days away from TNA, the video game, so if they get pwned in sales over here, it's their own damn fault for not distributing it earlier in (some) European countries. I think I'm gonna keep my money for a few days and buy SvR 2009, and buy TNA in like half a year, when I can get it at 33% of the original price. Too bad though, since I was kinda looking forward to buying it (granted only to play as Sting, but still)

I'm sorry, but I've viewed TNA's shows, and I thought their brand was lousy. Now, they have a video game out, and by all accounts, it was already going to be severely hampered and would lack the polish of the SvR series...and then to have to rush the game in order to generate any sales? I'm sorry folks, but this game was doomed from the very beginning. One or two good points out of 10 or so does not a good game make. In fact, it appears that SvR'09 will have 5 different career story modes, a tag-team career story mode, create your own finisher, etc. Right there, you have easily doubled the benefits of TNA's product.
The real problem is that as a first time product, it isn't bad. However, when you compare it to other Midway games, TNA is a laughable (at best) flop. Whoa to anyone that's foolish enough to buy this game.

TNA video game sucks, Midway deserves to go out of business just for that let alone the travesty of MK vs Dc....
