Trish Stratus was contacted by the WWE a few weeks back to participate in the 25-Diva Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 25. Trish ended up declining the invitation, but it was unknown why she declined. Many thought originally that she only declined because she wasn't going to win the match. Trish had this to say in a recent interview with Slam Wrestling:
"Simply there were no finishes, no "What's going to happen, will I win?" discussed. It was just 'Would you like to be in this 25-Woman Battle Royal at Wrestlemania' and I said, "Thank you but I'm going to decline."
She went on to say:
"To be honest, I feel Wrestlemania is a place to create memorable moments in one's career, and frankly, with 25 women in the ring, I was just not sure how anyone could come out having their Wrestlemania moment. Maybe if it was a little clearer that could be accomplished for someone, I would have been part of it."

And that was the right decision considering the outcome of that match. Hell if you didnt pay close attention or if you were newer to wrestling there would be no way for you to know all that was in the ring.

True, the match itself was completely implausible and Trish (or Lita for that matter) would have sullied their good names by appearing - I'm pretty embarrassed for Victoria in particular, her last ever match was won by Santina
