Pro Wrestling Guerrilla is SoCal's top independent federation, and they further cemented their reputation by debuting not one, but two former WWE Superstars at their weekend event Express Written Consent.
Paul London was already advertised to be part of a 6-man tag team main event, as it marked the end of his 90-day no-compete clause with WWE. London won his match after executing his shooting star press finisher.
The big surprise, however, was when Colt Cabana, formerly known as Scotty Goldman, showed up and inserted himself into the PWG World Championship match between champion Chris Hero and Human Tornado. Hero pinned Tornado to retain his title and then offered Cabana a title shot.
The interesting thing is that Cabana had just been released by WWE the day before, meaning he either did not have a no-compete clause like London, or he had just broken his contract by appearing for PWG.
