Undertaker On Fire After Pyros Accident

Those watching the Elimination Chamber PPV might have asked why, during his entrance, The Undertaker ran for some seconds after coming out instead of his usual slow walk to the ring.

The reason for this was because the wall of fire that goes off when he is near the ring, went off earlier as he was standing at the beginning of the ramp. For some seconds, The Undertaker was no longer visible as he was caught right in the middle of the fire wall. The Undertaker was very lucky to have his coat still on since the fire came all around him. He ran out of the fire wall and threw off his jacket fearing that this might still be on fire. During the match, The Undertaker was furious.

This was also the reason why the referee kept asking him if he was ok and handed him a couple of water bottles to pour on himself during the match.

After his match, the Undertaker was reported to be very upset and extremely pissed off. He stormed up the ramp staring at the pyrotechnic area, stopped at the top and yelled something at the direction of the pyro that hit him and made a threatening gesture before exiting the stage. He was reported to yell at numerous people backstage whilst management tried to calm him down and explain that this was an unfortunate accident.

Robert Zimmerman, a spokesman for WWE said that the accident occurred due to a "mistiming with the pyrotechnics". Zimmerman also said that The Undertaker had to be checked by a physician before wrestling but said that his condition is not bad: "Thank God he was fine. It basically amounted to a sunburn. It wasn't over a large area of his body, just a short area, just a little bit on his chest."

The accident might lead to WWE banning the flamethrowers from entrances but Zimmerman could not confirm this: "I don't know. I haven't spoken to anyone to find out what was the cause, if it was timing, if there was something wrong with whatever. We have to go back and investigate and make a final determination." During the accident, the commentators were very tenseand asked many questions. Jim Ross spoke about this accident on his Twitter page: "Undertaker is ok from what I understand but "lucky". He's a tufas they come w/o question.

WWE is now pulling out of Youtube any videos showing this accident.

One bad thing happens, and it's over for everyone. That's the way the world works for the most part.

But I am glad that Undertaker is okay.

On fire after the accident? He was on fire also during it. XD
However, he was pretty lucky because fire didn't hit his hair or face.

Okay, #7. Let's put you in Undertaker's shoes. Let's make you a wrestling legend, keeping your character as a man with no soul and no mercy to perfection, who over the years has developed knee problems and are walking down to the ring in your normal entrance(the gong, the fire. etc.) thinking everything will be peachy, when you are almost caught on fire thanks to the carelessness of the pyrotechnic guy and have to run down to the ring to get your jacket off and break your character in front of millions of people and see if you think that the accident is okay.

I agree with Comment # 13, the poor guy had to break out of character in front of everyone for a moment cause he was on fire, accidents do happen, but I don't blame taker one bit for being pissed off, he was in his chamber sizziling, continued the match and still refused to have the match shortened. It could have been alot worse for him, glad taker is ok though.

He didn't break character hardly at all. By the time he had his trenchcoat off he wasn't jogging anymore and he threw it down angrily. If I didn't know better I'd have thought he did it on purpose at first glance.
