Unforgiven Main event
It has been announced that there will be a World Heavyweight Championship Scramble at next month’s Unforgiven pay-per-view. Five WWE Superstars including the World Heavyweight Champion, will compete in a twenty minute match. Once the bell rings, anyone can get a pinfall on anyone else and become Champion. The title will be able to change several times during the match. Whoever has the championship at the end of the twenty minutes will be declared the winner. This should be very interesting.
The participants announced were:
- World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk
- Kane
- JBL
- Batista
- John Cena

agrees with "on" how many world champions will there be in one night and if they all count tht will be b.s. But then maybe devalueing the belt is what there intention is if the rumors of a 3 way merger are true.

Isnt this the EXACT SAME match on wwf: Smackdown 2 Know your role, on the hardcore belt.. i cant remember the name of that match but they had the exact same in that game

Either way, this gimmick should be kept to lower tier titles and not the World title....it will dilute the value of the belt with 5 new world champions in one night. Sounds mostly like a way to give Kane that last World title he's been wanting.

Weird gimmick match, but it could turns in interesting, i like gimmick matches when they are imaginative and bring something different and interesting (interesting, not stupid) in play.
But IMO i think it would be nice with lower titles were the re are more high flyer's and dare devils that could bring out some stunts.
and like someone said beforeit alsos dilutes the value of the title having 5 champions in one night... sure in the future everyone will talk about the night when the title changed hands 5 times... well maybe they wont count in the history of the title (hope)
Just hope it doesn't turn out to having someone near the end wining the title a just start running from the others till the time limit, like it was on a Ironman match with kurt angle and brock lesnar (if I am not mistaken) that at the end brock was just running around the ring getting away from kurt, sure is heelish but it suck and simply destroys the match

Yeah JMac it is kinda but it should be good. Wasn't the Hardcore Title defended often in these matches under the 24/7 rules? And wasn't there that match where you had 6 wrestlers including Crash Holly and Hardcore Holly battling in the same style as this match which ended up with the ref counting too fast or something?

Just remembered it's like the Hardcore Title match at Wrestlemania 2000. Hardcore Battle Royal. Ended with Holly pinning Crash after the Title had changed 10 times during this match. Though, the none of the reigns officially counted until the match was over.
