Update: Awesome Kong

As previously reported, the fight between Bubba The Love Sponge and Awesome Kong was followed by the latter's request of a release from TNA.

According to ProWrestling.net, TNA denied Kong's request to be released from the company and is still part of the company tied with a contract.

The release denial was followed by Kong not appearing on the UK tour as advertised, but agreed to work a match for TNA the night after the fight with Bubba.

It now seems that following a meeting between Hogan, Kong, Bubba and Bischoff, the issue is resolved and probably will turn into a TV angle in the future.

Rumors that the entire thing was provoked by Bischoff and Russo, so that it could be later used as an angle are now growing.

Who the hell is Bubba and why does he have any sort of pull whatsoever?!!! Dixie got into bed with the wrong group of guys. I wish she would have convinced Heyman to come back.

This is good news :) Kong is the main Knockout, TNA's image for knockouts and despite her weight she is able to put up a show not like WWE's Henry
