Victoria speaks on her retirement

Soon, we will see Victoria's last televised match on Smackdown as she hangs up the wrestling boots and officially retires. The announcement that she was ending her in-ring career was announced on WWE.com, and the Diva herself has posted a statement on her MySpace.

In her post, she said how her decision to retire was "very difficult" but not "rash". Victoria admitted that she "was not happy with the opportunities that were available to [her] within WWE". Nonetheless, she is "thankful for the experiences that she had" with the company, and is particularly grateful for "the great friends" and "the best fans" that WWE has brought her.

Looking to the future, she notes that she has been doing Jiu Jitsu training as well as learning to DJ. She also suggested a foray into MMA, but gave a reminder that she was already the owner of Black Widow Customs.

Lastly, she said that she would not do any shoot interviews, and she might return to wrestling "occasionally down the road".

Sad to see her go, even though WWE never used her right.

I hope she takes some time off and relaxes before heading down to a certain wrestling company in Orlando for the summer. I'm sure she could be one hell of a knockout. And if she could somehow get Kong in the Widow's Peak... that would be sick!

A great female wrestler who would have challenged well with the Glamazon. Shame on WWE for forcing this to happen.

The widows peak still is an amazing finisher.

Oh man, as much as TNA could use her, could she use TNA? I hate to see one of my favorites leave my television screen, but best of luck to her, whatever she decides to do. She's damn well earned it.

I think we'd all agree that as a whole the Knockout Division kicks the Diva Division's ass. Victoria was one of the few WWE women in the WWE who deserves to be in a ring.

i have to agree with everyone above Victoria was one of the few "Divas" worthy of setting foot in a WWE ring but on a sadder note the reason she probably wasn't getting pushed much is pretty simple. I beleive she is in her mid to late thirtys (please correct if i'm wrong)which means shes getting to old for a major push in the WWE. They have been known to (phase) out Divas that were getting about that age.

Victoria has a very muscular, edgie look, yet she can still project her femininity. It really is a shame that the WWE decided to use her the way that they did. She has tremendous potential, and as long as she's healthy, she would make a tremendous TNA Knockout. Personally, I'd rather her retire and do well with her automotive customization business. I'm actually trying to contact her company to see what the cost would be to do some modifications to my '92 Dodge. Would be interesting to see what kind of paint job and rims they'd recommend...

Since TNA tapes 2-3 shows in a week. She'd have a lot of free time to run her businesses.
