Last week's Smackdown main event featured a match between WWE Champion Triple H and the Undertaker. It was billied as a Wrestlemania-caliber match and it definitely delivered, even leading Lance Storm to suggest that it helped restore his faith in the business.
In a recent blog entry by former WWE creative team member Seth Mates, there is a reason why such a match-up hasn't happened since 2002. On the RAW after Summerslam 2002, Triple H and Undertaker had a #1 Contenders Match that the Madison Square Garden audience just couldn't get into. Newcomer Brock Lesnar had just become the new Undisputed Champion at Summerslam, but this match felt "same old, same old, same old". This led to a lot of disappointments backstage and Triple H and the Undertaker haven't had a match since.

Lance Storm is really becoming a WWE sycophant in recent weeks. A decent match with no finish restored his faith in the business? If that's all it took, how did he lose faith in it to begin with?

Lance Storm needs to stop hangin' with Lance Cade. A single match between two veterans on a FridayNight Smackdown! restored his faith ? Dude...seriously.
