Wrestler dies from taking a wrong bump

Daisuko Yuri has gotten a lot of mainstream press attention in Japan. Unfortunately, it is because of his death in the indy circuit of pro wrestling. It seems Daisuka Yuri had to take a Doomsday Device (the finisher made famous by the Road Warriors) later in a match, and had a practice session with his opponents.

When you take a Doomsday Device there are two correct ways to take it: You fall flat on your back, or flip all the way over. Yuri tried to flip over, but instead landed on his head and broke his neck in multiple places. 6 days after the incident he passed away. Tokyo Police have reported his death as an accidental homicide.

This reminds wrestling fans of a very similar WWE incident. Mark Canterbury AKA Henry Godwinn took a botched Doomsday Device from the Road Warriors themselves in 1997 and landed in a similar fashion. Fortunately for him he "only" suffered a cracked vertebrae. Canterbury came back much earlier than doctors had adviced, which let to his WWE retirement.

Damn. My sympathies to the man and any family, though this does raise a valid question; what are the various laws worldwide that would affect death via botched wrestling move? This is especially important today, with so many indies groups all over the place attempting to one up each other with this new, much more fast paced and dangerous style.

Went to the site, went through their archives, searching on words like "dies", "death", "wrestler", "Japan", "botch", "doomsday", then went through all headlines of December, and nothing of this sort came up, let alone an exact copy of my article.
