WWE and TNA Superstars and Divas Speak About WWE's Releases

Different superstars and Divas from both companies spoke about the recent release of 7 WWE stars.

Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis was interviewed on Maria-Kanellis.org, yesterday, about the releases of Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill. She had just read about the firing of Mickie James and gasped loudly when the interviewer confirmed.

Regarding Mickie James, Maria said: "We were friends, but we kind of grew apart near the end. I don't know what her release revolved around, but I assume it was probably about the same thing that mine was. When you push back sometimes, people just let you go. I'm happy for her because I think that it's the best time in her life to get released because she does have an album coming out."

Maria also said that WWE misuses its Divas especially when they have projects away from WWE: "When you can't hold someone underneath your thumb anymore, sometimes it's better just to let them go. I'm a very passionate person and I get bored so very easy. If you just make me do one thing all the time and you don't even let me do that one thing properly - they dropped the ball so many times on storylines."

Maria believes that Katie Lea Burchill is a "tremendous asset" to the Divas: "It seems to me, for some reason, they seem to fire the wrong person. That's really bad, I cannot believe they fired her."

Also speaking of the releases made by WWE is the current TNA superstar, Shannon Moore, who wrote the following on his Twitter: It sucks to hear that people lost jobs today. From what I hear that place is a black hole anyway. Alot of peeps are miserable going to work. They dont understand what talent is. They would rather hire a jackass that don't know nothing about the biz rather than someone that loves it and pay pennies on the dollar to get someone to sign their life away. I think that the talent should think about making the jump. I thank god everyday for my chance to be family with TNA. From the office to talent in TNA it's nothing but fun. All I can say is @tnadixie thank you for bringing me into the family. I love going to work. Hogan F'N rocks. I wear TNA colors with pride and will bust my ass to better the company.TNA TNA TNA TNA.

WWE is about entertainment and it works for them. TNA is more about wrestling and it works for them. In TNA you don't have to be the most charismatic or have that 'look'. Shannon's comments gives us some insight into the industry today. It will be interesting to see if any of the WWE releases end up in TNA. I'm betting on Benjamin to go TNA, that would be awesome.
