WWE approves Ashley Massaro's request for release
Ashley Massaro posted on her MySpace site some time ago she asked for her release. The reason was that her daughter, that she had always kept out of the spotlights, was seriously ill. WWE always is very lenient when it comes down to family matters and superstars asking for release, yet some people are skeptical. Rumours go around there are actual other reasons than this one, with the article about the escort service in which Ashley was involved as number one alternative reason. Before the incident came to light, Mickie James' push was originally intended for Ashley.
WWE has posted the following "future endeavors"-message on their website. It is the standard message for superstars who leave the company on (arguably) good terms.
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Ashley Massaro as of July 09, 2008. WWE wishes Ashley the best in all future endeavors.

Pity, we really hasn't seen Ashley on her best ever since she joined WWE. First the coffee on McMahon, then the injury, now the sickness. Good luck Ashley

this ticks me off. if someone in the family is sick or injure the company would let that person have time off. but the wwe you have to get release for you to take care of someone. that wrong to me.
