WWE has released none less than 7 superstars today, although most are not yet known by the average WWE fan, since they all were still in developmental areas, and hadn't debuted on TV yet. Robert Anthony, Shawn McGrath, George Murdoch and Michael Dipoalo were the first four names that were released. Michael Dipoala may be known by old school ECW fans as "Roadkill", one half of the ECW tag team champions with Donny Doring. Later on, the release of Cassidy Riley was announced. Riley may be best known for his undercard rol in TNA late 2006. Cassidy Riley was signed by WWE early 2007. The last developmental superstar that was released was former ROH star Ace Steele, who was also signed early 2007.
So far for the developmental talent, and as I said there also was 1 on air superstar released. Rumours had been going on for a while now, and the release of Bobby Lashley was officially announced later on today. Earlier on I had reported that Lashley had not officially signed anything, and that many people within WWE had high hopes for Lashley returning, but with some egg on my face I do have to admit now that Lashley has officially signed the papers and is released by WWE and has been "future endeavored" on WWE.com. Currently there has not been any news about a possible "no-competing clause" from WWE.
