WWE - SmackDown's new approach

According to the source, latest SmackDown episode had around 45 minutes of wrestling, quite similar to the past few editions. If compared to RAW, which usually shows an average of 30-35 minutes of wrestling, we could speculate that WWE is giving more in-ring responsibilities to SmackDown, while keeping the long promos and backstage segments for RAW.

Jim Ross referred to the situation in a recent blog, stating that it's connected with the new SmackDown tapings schedule (earlier reported here). If WWE is taping two SmackDown shows in one night, including more wrestling than segments makes the TV tapings easier.

Isn't it crazy that in a 2 hour show, less than one hour is actually dedicated to in ring performing.
Maybe if they stopped playing those dammed John Cena promos and useless things like that, then it would be more quality viewing.... "I'm just saying"
