WWE Went PG (Some Time Ago)

WARNING: Might contain some spoilers.


The PG Rating of WWE manifested itself with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in every in-ring segment he appeared. This is because his word "ass", which is typical of him, was censored all the time.  "The Rattlesnake" apparently forgot that WWE changed to PG.



But those who were eager to see some anti-PG stuff in WWE, that is blood, had a feast in the last RAW episode. The match which saw Kofi Kingston verse Batista had to be stopped before planned and quickly went to its finish. This occurred because Batista was cut badly and was dripping blood during the match. A trainer came to ringside with a towel which was never used though.

    they should do Rated R for divas only and let the wrestlers bleed all the want and people will go back.. i will go for the divas lol Rated R Divas WWE thats what we want

    The cameras didnt even do a close up of Batista's face when he was bleeding. I really hope WWE gets out of this PG era and spice up things a little more

    Tna sucks and will always suck. yeah wwe went back to pg but looking at buisness stand point thats the best way to go at the moment since the WWE product is more family based more families equal more people tuning in or more importantly to the WWE attending live shows. I do not see the big hype of TNA with old people battling out and what not. Hulk hogan and flair needs to stay away from the ring for one and how many tag team matches can u really go through? TNA has a long long ways to go to catch up with WWE longer ways to go than WCW ever had. Besides WWE is for a fact Wrestling since it is the longest wrestling company to date and has loads of history. pro wrestling would be demolished entirly in my opinion if WWE falls which I doubt will ever happen. I am all WWE all the way. Just because some guys online want blood, half naked chicks, and all the swearing in the world don't make what over a million wwe viewers want to see. Besides Wrestlemania is always sold out and has more fans attending than the super bowl and Raw and Smackdown always have a jam packed arena and most their shows are done in bigger arenas than TNA. WWE All the way!!

    A lot of people don't seem to realize that the roles are reversed here. WCW dominated WWF in the ratings for a long time.WWF went "attitude" and despite spending less eventually overtook WCW. WWF was the underdog then...TNA is now.

    How is this not news? I usually try to bash MVD, but can't help reading the simple statements of this not being news. Only thing we should really be complaining about is the spoiler warning is after you open up the article. That should probably be in the title. This PG vs R really needs to stop. What is so cool about seeing blood? Isn't there a surgery channel you can watch 24 hours a day for that? Language wise, I stand by my statements of WWE being a bit raunchy from attitude on (was really too young to know anything about before it.) They truly lost sight of what innuendos are.

    I watched TNA during that time and only flipped few times back so didn't notice, but not suprised. Wouldn't have minded seeing Batista bleeding though, but I'm sure the camera stayed off him as much as possible during that.

    You know what? Since TNA started going head to head on Mondays I've started watching TNA. Sure, WWE is polished to a science that gives us great a great looking product and entertainment week after week. BUT TNA is offering NO PG, more MAN stuff. Just last week the first match was bloody as hell with Hulk and Flair bleeding all over the place and even splattering the camera. You won't see that on WWE no more. Not to meantion their women take way more bumps than WWE chicks and they make it look ten times more real than the fragile WWE divas. And last week Angle had the US Army help him beat down Mr. Anderson. That was unbelievable, WWE would never do something like that. Its a call of tastes, go with the more polished and entertaining WWE or go with the new not PG TNA and see if they can do the impossiable and go head to head with WWE in ratings one day???

    Well thanks alot wwe for ruining my fanship i had with u since i was 6 years old wm3. u guys never used to be pg why now is totally non compliant to me i remember the chair shot that used to draw the good stuff (yes immma hardcore fan) but now u cant even bleed? wwe has now lost another fan long live TNA!!!!!!!!!!

    I want more wrestling less of the divas, the wrestling needs more blood and more action, but please while raising it from pg keep the women pg. I want to see a good story with a good match not skinamax light.

    @ comment 9 actually wwf was ahead of wcw at the beginning. then wcw finally passed wwf in the rating before like we all know wwe took back over the ratings and put wcw out of business. tna is not anywhere as good as wcw was at anytime. i actually use to watch wwe and record wcw and watch it later but i don't care about tna it sucks. also like comment 20 said wtf is wrong with the verification code you have to enter it twice

    The best era in WWE history was the 'Attitude' Era. There was to be a reason for this. Making everything PG is an insult to our intelligence. If its censored then it becomes cheesey. That's when they'll lose ratings.
    Look at whats' happened to DX! The PG rating has destroyed them and what they represented (although Shawn might prefer it that way).
    Even John Cena has had to change his finisher name from the FU to the Attitude adjustment. I refuse to call it by its new name.
    If WWE don't lift the PG then TNA will, and people will start wathcing that more.
    The key to sucess is give the audience what they want. WE WANT THE 'ATTITUDE' ERA BACK!!!!

    Edge has long title reigns? He gets a lot of title reigns, but he rarely holds onto it longer than two months. The worst offender in recent times is Cena.

    ..... what blood? you could barley see the blood on Batista's face! that just shows the Kingston is a good contender for the WWE title and i can see him be a WWE Champion and a good on too. For the rating they atleast need to let the superstars swear and bring back the bra and panties match i mean really? otherwise WWE is going to get some low ratings, but their raitings will obvisouly be higher than TNA
