WWE's Attention To TNA

It appears that WWE is studying TNA's shows.

A source inside WWE told ewrestlingnews.com that the production team is keeping an eye on iMPACT! and said that WWE might even be having one of every five TV monitors in the production area showing TNA iMPACT!.

This contrasts to what other sources inside WWE said about WWE not looking at TNA as competition.

That would suck for WWE if someone was watching Raw and then someone in the production truck switches over to TNA.

This is interesting compared to all the other stories I have read :)

This may not be a blowout for TNA.

Actually, I think TNA was better competition for the WWF in its earlier days when it had more unknowns looking to prove themselves, backed by a solid core of pros from both WCW and WWF.

Now it's like WCW has risen from the grave. A significant number, if not most of the talent is now made of up pros from other federations. Like the old WCW days, they seem to be insisting on keeping the spotlight on themselves instead of passing the torch to the new blood.

Personally, I also take offense at the former WWF pros, like Mick Foley and Jeff Hardy, but most of all Rick Flair, who supposedly retired, but then washed up on the TNA shores.
In Flair's case in particular, he made a specific point of indicating that he was leaving the BUSINESS, not just the company. That's why his retirement match and following send-off were so emotional.

Further, WHY is Sting STILL doing his crow wannabe, enigmatic outsider schtick? It wasn't great over a decade ago when he started it, and it's just old now.

TNA needs to trim the fat from its roster and get back to its roots. THEN WWF will have something to worry about.
