WWE/TNA Attendance and Ratings note

WWE attendance figure of New york are shown here. As you can see WWE draw much more that TNA in New York but New York is where WWE all began.

Figures for September 5 in Rochester, NY (Supershow) were not known.
September 6 in Jamestown, NY (Supershow) drew around 4,000 fans.
September 7 in Cleveland, OH (Unforgiven) drew around 9,500 fans.

Now here are some from TNA. As you can see there much lower than not only WWE's but shocking by TNAs standard!

-- September 5 in Westbury, NY drew 1,000 fans. This was a drop from the last time when they drew 3,000.
-- September 6 in Manhatten, NY drew only 850 fans. This was the show that had ticket problems through Ticketmaster. They drew much stronger in the city last time. In comparison, Ring of Honor sold out that same venue so many times that they moved to the Hammerstein Ballroom and drew 2,150 and 1,800 fans.
-- September 7 in Albany, NY drew 1,300 fans. While that sounds like a decent crowd, TNA ran this event in a 13,000 seat arena so it didn't look very good.

Overall attendance-wise the tour of New York for TNA was not good. Which may come to a surpirse to most as TNA houseshows usually have great Reviews. I, The Silent Knight have infact been to one myself, and had the time of my life!

Here is a breakdown for the latest WWE and TNA television ratings courtesy of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

WWE Friday Night Smackdown on 8/29 drew a final 2.3 broadcast rating with 3.70 million viewers. The only drew a 2.8 Hispanic rating with 526,000 viewers total.

WWE Monday Night Raw on 9/1 drew a final 2.93 cable rating with 4.54 million viewers While a drop was expected due to Labor Day, last year's show on the same hoilday drew a 3.64 rating.

ECW on Sci Fi on 9/2 drew a final 1.4 cable rating with a 2.05 million viewers.

TNA iMPACT! on 9/4 drew a final 1.0 cable rating (or 1.03) with 1.4 million viewers. While this was down slightly from last week's number, the assumption was that TNA was thrilled with the number going up against the NFL season opener. The show did a 0.77 in males 18-34 and 0.77 in males 18-49.

Here are some recent attendance figures for WWE and TNA this past weekend:

    WWE Attendance:

Figures for September 5 in Rochester, NY (Supershow) were not known.
September 6 in Jamestown, NY (Supershow) drew around 4,000 fans.
September 7 in Cleveland, OH (Unforgiven) drew around 9,500 fans.

    TNA Attendance:

-- September 5 in Westbury, NY drew 1,000 fans. This was a drop from the last time when they drew 3,000.
-- September 6 in Manhattan, NY drew only 850 fans.

Overall, this return New York tour was not considered a success compared to the last one as reports from most shows were they that were not as strong, which is strange since most TNA house shows always get positive reviews.

    "...by TNAs standard!..."(TNA's)
"... I, The Silent Knight have infact been to one myself, and had the time of my life!..." (Your reports need to be objective and based on news, not your own opinions, go write articles)
